About Our Owner

Champion Hauling and Junk Removal was formed in 2022 by Jeremiah Dunn. Jeremiah attended Braswell High School for his junior and senior years and graduated in 2019. In the fall of the same year, he moved to Tulsa to attend Tulsa Welding School. After graduating ten months later, Jeremiah moved back home to DFW and began working at Viva Railings.

“I learned to work with my hands, learned a lot about how things are made, and about the trade world. It was a great experience and a huge growth experience for me!”

After a year of welding, jeremiah wanted to begin an entrepreneurial journey and started taking classes to study real estate. While studying, he quit his job at Viva and started picking up odd jobs here and there to help pay his way through. After a few months of this, he realized the potential of being a business owner and the excitement that came with it.

“I had zero experience and just went with my gut. I figured now was the time to try something new and see how it goes.”

Junk Removal seemed like a simple business to get into, and he had the truck already. The first year of business was slow, but encouraging. There was work to be done and still so much to learn. Year two was a complete shift in the volume of business done and the learning curve.

“I didn’t know where to dispose of everything and had to find all the places that take different things. For example, not all landfills accept the same things, some have tighter restrictions than others. Same thing with items containing freon, and what types of liquids I could accept. I kinda took and said yes to anything and figured it out on the backend.”

Year three was another big shift in the potential of what is possible with any business. More responsibilities and more work to be done. Heading into year four has been the most challenging so far.

“There's a difference between owning a business and owning a job. This is what im learning now and how important the development of structure is.”

Our mission is to drive continuous growth for our clients, company, and colleagues. We strive to inspire curiosity about the world around us, encouraging exploration and lifelong learning.
